The h.f. high-power self-oscillating valve generator has its antiresonant circuit (4, 5) coupled via a capacitor (3) across the triode anode/cathode path. The antiresonant circuit inductor forms part of the output transformer (6). A first d.c. supply (negative) (7) is coupled over a resistor and choke (10) to the triode's grid. A second d.c. supply (positive (12) is coupled over a class B or C amplifier (19) to the triode's grid. The second supply is bridged by a capacitor, and the amplifier resonant circuit is magnetically coupled to a coil across the triode antiresonant circuit. The triode anode is connected to the main supply via a choke (2).
