Fabric spreader - using roller unit with smooth centre zone and needle end zones

Designed particularly for looms and other textile machines, the smooth centre zone of the spreader roller feeds the fabric, while the angled rings of needles in the end zones draw out the material to the edges. The purpose is to maintain spreader contact over the whole fabric width, without allowing any narrowing effect which could distort the warp yarns.
