Safety type electrical socket outlet - has rotating plate covering live parts and attached to an actuating spring

The outlet comprises an insulating housing (1) in which are located the conducting terminals, and locks (3) actuated by compression springs (5). The safety plate (2) is rotated by action of the torsion spring (4), its course being limited by a stop fitted to the spring, and a stop on the safety plate. A baffle formed on the face plate (7) and the safety plate (2) prevents the introduction of all foreign bodies. The socket outlet is fixed to the face plate by fixing the insulating housing (1) to it by means of screws (8). Assembly of the housing (1) on the faceplate is affected by locating it on locating studs.
