The method of bonding flase glazing bars to window panes (6), giving a traditional form to modern windows, obviates glue wastage and pane cleaning operations, and entails the use of a paper tape (11) bearing adhesive beads (12, 13). The tape (11) is cut to the required length and presented to the glazing bar in such a fashion as to align the beads with glazing bar grooves (9, 10) the tape then being removed to leave the bar furnished with adhesive. The glazing bar may then be simply pressed onto the window pane in the required position. the beads are about 3mm in diameter and are formed from polyisobutylene.
