The slip is of elastic cloth, and incorporates an abdominal belt (10) with front and rear faces, the former locally reinforced in the pubic region. A hypogastric pad has a front portion (29) a sub pubic portion (25) and a rear portion fitting around the hips. The pad has at the sides temporary fixing devices to the front of the belt and a penis and scrotum orifice, together with a closing tongue for the latter. It can be attached to the belt with its front portion forming a first means of reinforcement. A lining can be sewn along its edge inside the front of the belt, forming a pocket for a second reinforcing device, typically in the form of a semi-rigid plate.
