The motive power is provided by a vertical rod (4) which is connected at its lower end to two cranks (1, 2). These cranks have at their lower ends rollers which roll, in opposite directions, between two horizontal rails (7, 8). One crank (2) is connected by an intermediate crank (9) to the drive rod (11) whose upper end can follow a circular path about a fixed point. The pivot (10) of the intermediate and drive rods also supports one end of a pivot crank (14) which has a positionally fixed second end (15).
