The table has a rectangular frame with rows of omnidirectional rollers, comprising two pairs of barrel shaped rollers, at intervals over its surface to move the pallets in one direction, the rollers being driven by a motor through gearing. At right angles to these rollers are others, also omnidirectional and fewer in number. These move the pallets in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction and are driven by a separate motor through gears, these rollers being mounted between the rollers of the first set. They are also slightly higher so that when the load is driven on in the first direction, the second set of rollers take up the load and change its direction of movement.
