Composite panels comprise two parallel sheets separated by an array of tubular elements side by side, at least some of which are filled with insulating material. The panels are esp. used for lining walls in domestic buildings, offices, etc. They provide an acoustically and thermally insulating structure which has good resistance to flexure, compression or cracking.
