The pivoted firearm on a base is moved so that it is compensated for interception, factors for target speed, average projectile speed and vector angles between target and projectile velocity. The overall correction is resolved into correction for rotation about a vertical axis and correction for elevation. Successive corrections are computed separately for these two rotations. The increments of the components of the overall correction are computed separately in relation to the increase of the component of the two successive rotating movements. Both increments evaluated in this manner are used separately for the azimuthal and elevation correction of the firearm. The input factors for the computer reproduce the increments as electrical analogue magnitudes which are fed into two electric motors for producing the two separate rotations of the firearm.
