The four-pronged decorative nail for use in fabricating footwear, e.g. nailing upper to the sole, has a circular head (1) with several prongs (2) projecting from the head periphery and perpendicular to the head plane. The prongs have anchorage shoulders at an appropriate distance from the head. Pref. four prongs are in pairs of diametrically opposed positions on the head and are integral with the head and terminate in arrowhead points (2a), each point forming two anchorage shoulders.
