The magnetic circuit comprises a rectangular magnetic material ring (11), and I-shaped central core inserted in the inside space of the rectangular core (11), and two non-magnetic spacers (13, 14) to form two gaps in the magnetic circuit. The rectangular ring (11) is fabricated by winding a magnetic material strip onto a mandrel. Before assembling the I-shaped core into the rectangular space, an electrical winding is fitted onto the I-shaped core (12). The two spacers (13, 14) may be made of thermoplastic material and placed onto the I-shaped core (12) before fitting into the rectangular ring (11). The circuit can be used as part of a high frequency transformer or a pulse transformer.
