The atmosphere programme control regulates the temperature in a central heating system, and has in the same housing (1) an atmosphere thermostat (2), a mechanical timer (3), a switch (4), a maintenance thermostat (5), and an indicator light (6). The timer is in series with the atmosphere thermostat and the switch. The maintenance thermostat and the light are shunted across them. The maintenance thermostat can be mounted alongside the atmosphere thermostat, and immediately adjacent to the base (12) inside the housing cover (11). The two thermostats can be solidly secured together and to the base.
