The tree trunk decortication device has a horizontal motor driven shaft (2) with a series of knife blades mounted on its circumference. The support frame (1) which supports the horizontal motor driven shaft (2) has a brace lying parallel to the drive shaft (y-y) axis above the top edge of the drive shaft (2). The brace or support is in the form of an oblique surface running in direction of the drive shaft (2). The shaft (2) is slightly downward angled and has a drive motor (5) at one end with the other free end being height adjustable.
