Nose ring for young stock - has curved fastening arms and plate with spikes to prick calf's nose during butting

The ring which can be moulded in one piece from plastic or metal and is composed of two curved arms (4) capped with round knobs (5), which enter the nostrils of the animals and secure it to the nasal septum. Integral with and adjacent to the central arms is the upper part which is flat semi-circular and bears small spikes (6) on its inner surface (7) which prick the calf when it butts the cows uldder. The lower part, also adjacent to and integral with the arms, is flat and serves to maintain the upper part in position.
