Centrifugal contact breaker for rotary electric machine - with lower-cost materials and labour, for washing machine motor

The device comprises a stationary member with electrical contacts, and a centrifugal interrupter for controlling opening and closing of the contacts. The interrupter comprises a sector-shaped hub. with a hole which is surrounded by a tubular axial flange and which is equidistant from teh 3 apices (MNP) of the sector. On one side of the hub are two spaced side lugs. A single weight comprises a flat central body in the shape of a crescent, with two inturned ends, located in the same plane parallel to the central body plane. One of the two ends is mounted pivotably on one of the side lugs. The weight is biassed towards the axis of rotation of the hub by a spring connected at one end to the pivotable end of the weight and at the toehr end ot the second side lug.
