The movable units of domestic furniture (1) conceal bathroom fittings. The units are built in items such as wardrobes (1) or settes and slide on tracks (8, 12) to conceal or reveal the bathroom fittings into use. Dual purpose rooms are thus obtained. The wardrobe unit (1) slides laterally to either completely conceal a bath or into a position completely clear of the bath. The settee unit may have an enlarged back which forms a chamber which has no floor. The unit may slide in a similar fashion to the wardrobe to house or reveal a hand basin and a bidet. The two units may be mounted on wheels. The units may be used in combination in a room corner. In this case they slide in directions (f1, f2) perpendicular to one another.
