The teaching aid for geography is in the form of a planar map display (S) on which (C) a path divided into a number of similar adjacent zones (C) is marked. Each of the zones (C) corresponds to a producing region of the area (R) denoted by the map. A number of vertical support stands can be moved from one zone (C) to the other a and on which a selected number of counters, representing different products of each region can be placed. Each support stand may have a circular base from which a vertical rod extends, the counters each being circular with a hole in the middle, so as to thread over the rod. The teaching aid may be used to play a game, by the addition of dice and at least one set of cards.
