Paraffin oil compsns. for treating constipation - produced by mixing natural powder emulsifiers with naphthenic oil

Compsns. consist of: (a) a naphthenic oil of high viscosity, with a semi-paste consistency at room temp. and of pour point 40 degrees C, (b) natural powder emulsifiers (e.g. kaolin) which are mixed into the oil after it has been kept for several hours at 10 degrees C. The compsns. produce a stable emulsion in vivo.
