The cavity cleaning machine is particularly for blind holes, either smooth-walled or tapped. It has a suction device with a venturi, connected to a source of gas under pressure. To this there is connected, at right angles to the venturi axis and at a point subject to depression, a pipe, whose free end is inserted in the hole to be cleaned out. A collector for the swarf and dirt sucked out of the hole by the ejection effect is connected to the venturi outlet, allowing discharge of the gas. The venturi can have a nozzle, whose position inside its body is adjustable in the axial direction.
