Office chair with adjustable footrest - has spring loaded adjusting frame keeping constant height between seat and footrest

The office chair has a pedestal (1) supporting an internally threaded sleeve (2) for a tube (3) for the chair seat (4). A ring (9) holds a forward projecting bar (10) with lugs (11) for a pin (19) carrying a rod (21) adjustable inside a J shaped tube (20). Its other end pivots on a footrest (15) which itself pivots (13, 14) each side of a ring (12) on the pedestal. A further tube (26) fixed around th pedestal, forms a base. The user, when seated, presses down on the footrest, against spring pressure (27). The rod is locked in the tube and the relative height between seat and footrest remains constant if the seat height is altered.
