The equipment forms a fine jet of fluid with a sweeping trajectory for use when marking objects. It comprises a rotary disc having on one face one or more grooves leading to its periphery. The groove can be angled at approximately 45 deg. to the disc face, so that its bottom is to the rear of its free edge, when seen in the direction of rotation. The rear part of the groove can form a dihedron, guiding the ink along its ridge. A cupped portion can be formed in the disc round the centre, in which the ink is deposited, the groove leading from the cupped portion.
