Spectacles suitable for use in sporting activities are described. Each lens two areas, one of which is positioned on the axis of the pupil. The two areas have different optical powers. The area (2) on the pupil axis provides clear vision while the other area (1) which gives a slightly blurred vision. The optical power of the area (2) on the pupil's axis is zero while the optical power of the other area (1) may be plus or minus 0.25 to 1.50 dioptres, pref. - 0.75 dioptres. The golfer, for example, is thus encouraged to keep his hand still.
