Gear wheel type hydraulic machine - has tapered end dics forming seals between gears and casing end plates

The machine has a casing in two sections which contains two parallel bores. In the centre the bores are extended radially to merge in each other. Each bore contains a gear wheel which mesh wit each other in the centre portion. The gear wheels have hubs projecting axially from the toothed part and supported in bearing sleeves in the casing bores. On the outside of the bearing sleeves there are tapered end discs which press against the end faces of the casing and on their opposite side press against discs lying against the gear teeth. The tapered discs have recesses connected to the high pressure fluid side and proportioned to exert the appropriate balancing force for adequate sealing.
