ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSUREA continuous sulphur drossing process for the decooperingof lead. The process comprises treating lead bullion with sulphurin at least two reaction stages in series, with agitation, addingsulphur to the lead bullion in at least one of the reactionstages, continuously and concurrently transferring the leadbullion, dross and any unreacted sulphur from each reaction stageto the next, and separating the dross from the decoppered bullionin a dross separation stage that is without agitation.
