Sound-insulated floor with prefabricated binders and case bays - with supporting upper structure and floating airtight lower structure

Sound-insulated floor comprises prefabricated binders and case bays forming a filling and alignment space acting as permanent shuttering for casting the concrete of the flooring and for keying. The floor comprises a supporting upper structure rigidly bonded to the remainder of the floor, and consisting of the binders and the flooring and opt. the upper parts of the case bays, and a continuous floating air-tight lower structure which has no rigid contact with the upper structure and which consists at least partially of the case bays or parts thereof. Pref. between the two structures is an elastic flexible material disposed between each case bay or lower part of a case bay and the upper structure. This material may consist of cellular or plain elastomer, plastic, etc., and is pref. protected from the water in the concrete by treatment with silicone.
