A resilient seal contacts against a brake line connector seal ring face, when out of use, excluding water and dirt at the bore end. One seal and cover plate adapts to a brake line or a supply line connection. A bayonet grip (8) holds the union (1) to its counterpart, at a coupling face (2). The ring seal (4) face (9) lies at a distance (A) above the coupling face, when uncoupled. The cover plate (10) holds a press-in (11) conical seal (12) against the ring seal face. For a supply line union an axially free plug slides in a valve, shut when uncoupled, with the plug face a greater distance above the coupling face.
