In a device for sepg. the constituents of a mixt. of gases in which the mixt. traverses a receiver having an axis of revolution and in which a vortex is set up with the axis coinciding with the axis of the container, a series of mixt. admission orifices are distributed over the whole surface of the container. Means are provided for removal of the fractions variously enriched in one of constituent of the mixt. and for centering these means on the container axis. The device gives a more efficient uranium isotope sepn. at lower capital cost than known equipment, e.g. for gaseous diffusion or centrifuging.
