Fabric colours referencing system - uses book with duplicate sets of identical samples which are referenced by set of numbers

The method is for the referencing and identification of colours between two correspondents, such as a supplier and buyer remote from each other. The methods aim is to avoid sending out actual samples of material. Each of the parties has an arrangement of identical samples whose colour characteristics are suitably chosen and marked. Each sample has a specific reference number which permits both parties to define by the reference number the colour required from the samples. The sample are kept in a book and are arranged according to an order corresponding to a graduation in the characteristics of successive samples. Each unit sample having a specific reference. The book has hard covers (1,1') to protect the samples.
