A non-poisonous insecticidal powdered compsn. comprises sorptive particles of an inorg. matl. of 100-400 mesh Tyler having adhering to their surfaces a sorptive silical gel present to at least 0.1% of the total wt. of the coated particles; the compns. has a packed bulk density of 15-100 lb./cubic foot. The compsn. gives a sorptive dust insecticide effective on contact with an insect's waxy epicute. Easily manufactured at low cost, and safe and convenient in use.
