The carburettor slow running adjustor seal is a plastic cap which is pushed onto the adjustor screw until a lip on the cap slots into the groove in the head of the adjuster screw. The cap (1) is made up of two concentric rings (6, 8) joined together at its base by a thin rupturable piece (10). The centre ring (9) carries the lip. The points of, rupture is the piece (10) are delimited by holes formed in the base between the rings (6, 8). Beneath the rings are a sleeve (4) with internally grooved portions to fit a mating portion on the screw (3).
