The automatic locking system is for rolling shutters which pull down in front of house windows. The lock operates from the inside when the shutter is in its down position and obviates the need to lock the blind by opening the window. It comprises a rectangular shaped steel handle manufactured from rod which is attached to the base of the shutter. The blind is pulled down and the handle clipped into a receiver attached to the wall. The receiver has two spring lugs which clip over the handle preventing its movement from the outside. The lugs are released when the blind is to be rolled.
