The collapsible solar energy furnace is portable and used to cook food. The amount of energy absorbed by the water is able to be regulated by moving the reflector mirror in or out of line with the sun's rays, thus varying the temperature in the cooker. It comprises a collapsible chassis which supports the reflector which is a parabolic section cylindrical mirror. A solar energy receiver is formed by a movable ray capturing device. The chassis is supported by two folding legs which stand either side of the receiver and are adjustable for varying the overall height of the device.
