The hot water bottle has a flat box section and is manufactured from rubber. One of the two main walls of the hot water bottle is recessed with a series of small depressions in its surface. The base of each of the depressions in one of the major section-walls is connected to the opposing internal inner surface of the opposite main wall. The depressions in the surface are arranged in a stepped pattern. The coupling zones between the main walls are closed in such a manner that they form a type of suction up to enhance the warning effect when pressed against the body.
