Packing of palletised stack in foil material - using foil placed over two sides and top of pallet with remainder covered during shrinking operation

Palletised stack of piece goods is packed in a foil material projecting sidewards behind bottom edges of the pallet and shrunk on the pallet. The foil material consists of a foil sheet (8) with free side projections (10) and is placed over at least two adjoining side surfaces of the stack and over its top side. The free edge parts (9) of the sheet (8), which are folded round the bottom edges of the pallet are held fast by tension resulting from shrinking of the foil sheet on the pallet. At the side surfaces of the stack (1) which are not covered by the side projections (10), the foil sheet (8) projects with its edge parts (10') in front of the surfaces.
