The main scaffolding bars can vary in length, are hollow, tubular and continuously formed by casting or welding or threaded connections. They may be used as longitudinal or transverse bars, columns or wind bracing and are braced together to form the required structure by shorter bars which may be of suitable size. Coupling pieces can be fitted over the main bars and slid to any location and being free to move both longitudinally and rotationally the bars can be fixed at any orientation to each other. Once the connection has been positioned it is fixed by bolts.
