摘要
The perpetual digital chronometer is used to measure successive time periods, e.g. for measuring each lap time in a motor racing event, or for measuring successive cycles of an industrial process. It employs a quartz oscillator, supplying pulses to a series of counters for frequency division, connected to a decoder and display circuit. A push-button is actuated once, to stop the count, to reset the counter and to re-start the next counting cycle. A memory connected to the counter receives the previous count value as the counter is reset, with the stored count displayed.
