A floating platform for sea bed exploitation which is dimensioned so that ratio H (height of the ring) and D external dia. of the ring) is 0.05-0.03. The dimension proportions are determined so as to give good stability to the platform and to render it less sensitive to swell. Resonance effects tend to be minimised.
