Desk drawer with double walled front - has cantilever handle formed by fascia which clips onto back panel

The desk drawer may be of sheet metal and has a double walled front which cantilevers out beyond the drawer and desk sub-structure to form a handle. The front structure comprises back (3) and fascia (4) panels with the former (3) fixed to the drawer and the latter (4) demountably clipped in place to cantilever out on one side only and form the handle. The fascia (4) is also invertable to form a drawer with the handle on the other side. The back panel (3) is rectangular with normal returned frontal edge flanges (3a to e) and cut outs (11) for penetrations of flanged drawer wall edges. The fascia (4) has 'L' section normal internal edge flanges (4a, 4b) and is a close tolerance fit over the back panel (3). A step rebating (3a) of the top flange (3b) of the back panel obtains flush fitting of the top fascia flange.
