A method of collecting, storing and distributing wind energy consists of using one or more wind-powered electricity generators and using the current produced to pump water upstream of a dam to increase its efficiency. The current is also used in an electrolysis plant for making hydrogen for fuel and for feeding directly the electricity grid when the voltage is high enough. The particular use depends on the supply and demand position at any time. The method allows unlimited storage and use of the energy without any loss of energy, whereas existing methods are too costly to be used on an industrial scale. In addn. it is more efficient than existing methods and less variable in effectiveness. The plant is free from pollution and can be installed anywhere where the wind is sufficient.
