Reagent system comprises containers each one of which contains a lyophilized mixt. of (a) a fixed quantity of the radioactively-labelled substance to be determined (I) and (b) a fixed quantity of specific antiserum (II). The reagent is prepd. by simultaneously introducing into the container separate solns. (or a mixt.) of radio-labelled (I) and (II), then freezing and lyophilizing without thawing. Alternatively the two solns. are introduced sequentially and frozen immediately after filling. By freezing the soln. immediately, premature reaction between the components is almost completely prevented (1%). By using prepd. reagents the analysis time is reduced fewer manipulations are needed and precise automatic equipment can be used.
