The toy is in the form of an animal and has an action which simulates working. The movement is powered by a coil spring, this being wound up by a pull cord. The legs are fitted to wheels, these being mounted on front and rear axles; the front axle is driven by the spring. Each leg (38) has a straight slot (62) in its upper part, this moves on a pivot on the animal's body. Each pair has a pivot which engages an eccentric drive pin on each wheel. These eccentric are fitted to the axles (46) out-of-phase to simulate individual leg movements.
