Rope supported explosive charge for triggering avalanches - uses metal rope as conductor with safety device against stray currents

The arrangement for transporting and remote ignition of explosive charges is used especially for releasing avalanches under optimum conditions. The charges are transported to the specified location and are ignited in the avalanche trough. The rope supported charges are ignited reliably by signal. All external influences, especially the effects of stray currents are eliminated. A metal rope (1) is enclosed into a loop and connected to an operating position. There is a generator supplying the rope (1) with a current for generating a voltage between two points (23, 24) of the rope which are separated by an insulator (22). The rope (1) carries explosive charge with a detonator initiated by an electrical signal. The detonator is connected to ropes with a safety device (25) whose terminals are connected to two points (23, 24) of the rope.
