1461422 Ammunition magazine with feeder device RHEINSTAHL AG 18 Sept 1974 [1 Oct 1973] 40655/74 Heading F3C An ammunition magazine 2 has two parts 3, 3SP1/SP each of which may be provided with a feeder device 4 or 4SP1/SP for transferring the ammunition to a loading position, each device having a pivot arm 5 or 5SP1/SP pivotally mounted on base 6 of the magazine by pivot pin 7 or 7SP1/SP and provided with retaining claws 8, 9 respectively. In use the parts 3, 3SP1/SP are positioned symmetrically with respect to a weapon 1 and the ammunition is stored in the magazine so that the axis of each round is at right angles to the longitudinal axis of the barrel of the weapon. The feeder devices 4, 4SP1/SP have their respective arm 5, 5SP1/SP connected to a piston rod 10 or 10SP1/SP of a hydraulic cylinder 11 or 11SP1/SP, each of which is supported by a pivotpin 12 or 12SP1/SP secured to the base 6. After the respective feeder device has transported the ammunition to the loading position it returns to the charging position thus allowing the ejection of the used cases.
