A method of jointing longitudinally profiled sheets, esp. through sheeting or corrugated sheeting, before coating them with foam, esp. for forming continuous composite sheeting, is as follows: the end of one sheet and the beginning of the next sheet are clamped at a given distance apart, and are than brought nearer together; adhesive strips are then applied, first longitudinally and secondly transversely; the clamps are then released. For the transverse strips, which provide the effective seal to the joint, the direction of feed is pref. oblique, the two edges of the strip being pressed independently onto the sheets, to take up any unevenness between the two sheets.
