1468136 Pyrazolinium compounds and their use as herbicides AMERICAN CYANAMID CO 12 June 1975 [1 July 1974 13 Jan 1975] 25227/75 Heading C2C The invention comprises compounds having the formula I wherein R 1 and R 2 each are C 1-4 alkyl; R 4 is hydrogen, methyl, methoxy, methylthio, methylsulphinyl or methylsulphonyl; R 3 and R 5 are C 3-7 cycloalkyl, C 3-7 cycloalkylmethyl, C 3-7 cycloalkenyl, C 2-11 alkylthienyl or provided that when R 4 is hydrogen at least one of R 3 and R 5 is other than phenyl; X represents an anion having a charge of from 1 to 3; n is 0 or 1; m is 1, 2 or 3; and Y and Z each represent hydrogen, halogen, nitro cyano, C 1-4 alkyl, C 1-4 alkoxy or CF 3 . The compounds of formula I including the excluded compound are used as herbicides.
