摘要
The crosshead comprises a central cross member (3) with bearings containing shaft ends (5) carried in cylindrical rotary elements (8) which are held around the shaft ends by a cover (9) on the conrod fork (7) whilst sealing means (9, 10) prevent ingress of dirt into the bearing. The elements (8) are radially compressible and axially rigid, and are arranged so that they roll between the shaft end and the rod fork whilst permitting resilient relative movement between these. The elements may be formed from resilient sheet metal by winding into a spiral shape. They may be shaped to have a cylindrical, conical, or corrugated outer periphery.
