Hot air oven for warming prepared meal dishes - has turntable for annularly mounted containers and toroidal air flow

The hot air oven for heating up prepared meals esp. in the catering industry etc. comprises a turntable for taking up the meals which are in containers C mountd annularly on the table to form a hollow central core 24. The boundary of this core is defined by the inner face of the containers so that a good central air flow is ensured. This air is heated by a heating unit which is mounted adjoining one side of the container and is passed by a blower through the core to the other end of the containers about the outer face of the containers and back to the blower so as to produce a toroidal flow encasing the containers. This toroidal ring a hot air separates the containers and dishes from the relatively cool surrounding at atmosphere but does not prevent direct access to the meal dishes in the containers through and front opening.
