Oximes of formula (I) and their salts and metal complexes are new (R1 is alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, cycloalkyl, aralkyl (opt. ring. substd. by =1 halo or CF3) or heteroarylalkyl; R2 is H or halo; n is 1-3; and Az is imidazole of 1,2,4-triazole). They are made from the corresp. azolyl-acetophenone by reaction with H2NOR1 or sequentially with H2NOH and R1-halide. (I) are systemic fungicides more active than the triazolyl-acetophenones of DT 2431407. They can be applied to plants in standard formulations (esp. at 0.1-1 kg/hectare) or used as seed dressings, and are partic. effective against Erysiphe graminis, E. cichoriaceatum, E. polygoni Podosphaera leucotricha, Uncinula necator, Sphaerothecapannosa, Puccinia spp. and Uromyces spp.
