1465503 Dyeing wool with anionic dyes HOECHST AG 15 Feb 1974 [17 Nov 1973] 7061/74 Heading D1B A textile material made of or containing wool is dyed preferably by the exhaust method using anionic dyes by subjecting a wound body of the material to a temperature of 100‹ to 110‹C and to an atmosphere of saturated or superheated steam in a closed deaerated vessel, heating the dyebath in a sealed vessel to a temperature of 100 to 110‹C and controlling the pressure in both vessels such that the dyebath is under an excess pressure of 2.94 to 9.81 bar and dyeing the material by allowing the dye liquor to pass into the roll of material and circulating the liquor through the material. Anionic dyes include acid, chromium metal complex and reactive dyes. The direction of liquor circulation may be altered inside to outside and outside to inside. Aqueous liquors are employed which may contain organic solvents, the material optionally being pre-washed.
