The plant growing block is for germinating seeds and growing cuttings, having the individual sections in a row fixed by glue to one or more strips. The face used for glueing is towards the outside. Alternative sections can be secured to strips on opposite sides of the row. The strips can be of water-permeable material, being released by the glue when dampened. The design greatly simplifies the placing of a set of blocks from a store round a cutting etc.
